OHSAS 1800

ISO 45001:2018
In March 2018 the International Organization for Standardization ( ISO) published ISO 45001:2018, the first Universal Occupational Health and Safety Management Framework Standard.
ISO 45001:2018 has been approved as a substitute for OHSAS 18001:2007, which is already deemed discontinued, although a three-year transitional cycle, which ends on 31 March 2021, has been decided upon.
If a Client has a system currently certified in accordance with the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard, the system will need to be upgraded and migration activities completed before March 31, 2021.
Where local legislation/regulation includes OHSMS accreditation and the legislation/regulation has not been updated to ISO 45001, the scope of certified qualification can be applied to OHSAS 18001.
